Indian Supreme Court reiterates the need for speedy trials of IPR cases

The Supreme Court of India has once again stressed the need for speedy disposal of Intellectual property cases. This need was reiterated by Justice Markandey Katju while disposing off Cadila’s appeal against the ex-parte injunction issued by the Madras HC on a trademark infringement suit brought upon by Sun Pharma, and directed the Madras HC to complete the trial within 3 months.
