Exciting Times at IPEXL Search. New Ranking

Great news from IPEXL, we're pleased to launch yet another new feature. Ability to display the results in order of our own in-house ranking algorithm.

Now users can search for patents and have those higher ranked patents, out of the search results, come to the top of the search results list. Which is very useful for finding those 'more active' patents in the search results.

We have rankings from 0.5 to 5, where 5 is the best. This is indicated on our site next to the 'More Info' button on our new interface in the form of pink diamond icons.

So give it a try. Go to http://www.ipexl.com to start your multilingual, multinational patent search now.

Hi Mikk,

In essence, ordering is by:

1. Rank = IPEXL's own ranking
2. Reference = Those with a high count of forward references come first.
3. Relevance = The relevance (distance) to the keywords that the user entered.

Very interesting.....but how to understand, what is the difference between sorting by "Rank" and sorting by "Relevance"?
