Madrid System - applications - a Key to the Two- Letter Country Codes

As the two letter country codes are not immediately obvious in all cases for the WIPO website I thought I would set them out in my Two-Letter Country Code blog....

Pleasure! - Belgium, Netherlands (Holland) and Luxembourg all form part of the Benelux Union - for the purposes of intellectual property they are treated as one jurisdiction ie Benelux (BX) - as this is not so widely known I listed the countries out as well..... hence the code is the same for more than one country. This also applies in the case of the United Kingdom which is in fact made up of more than one country (England, Scotland, Wales, & N. Ireland)

I never knew the different codes of Korea. Thanks for sharing.

Also, I saw same countries codes for two different names. I saw Belgium and Belenux share same country code BX.

I am unaware of the reason behind it. :)
