hi Mikk .... "branding" is not a fixed term but includes the particular name / logo and design of the product.... so on the cigarette packet the word Marlboro and the red design (on full strength) would all form part of the "brand" - it acts as an advert in itself but "advertising" relates to money spent drawing attention to your product and this could cover media (tv, news, websites) not just the product. Advert = money spent. Branding = distinguishing yourself from others (primary function of trademarks). This definition is open to discussion though.. anyone any thoughts?

Is "branding" same like "advertising" in your blog post? Or what's the difference?
