Just an update for you all, and perhaps something to think about.

You are all aware by now of my forming the UIAUK, however we are already pleased to announce some additions to the site, as promised.
you can have a look at the tools and resources by viewing the ‘Demo’ site at http://demo.uiauk.org . You will see in the toolbox area a number of ‘tools’ which are being provided to the members giving them the ability to fully understand and prepare themselves for the journey ahead.
The overall facilities the UIAUK are providing for inventors, Innovators and up and coming Entreprenuers have never been seen in one single site before and this is attracting huge interest from around the UK.
What is also great news is the partnership between the UIAUK and Inventor Bill Currie. This you can see in the area called BITE on the website. BITE and Program 21 have been developed by Bill and it is all about invention and innovation in schools. Bill has already achieved impressive results and has 17 schools in the Croydon area already running this program, including http://www.cypress-schools.co.uk/inventors. have a look at that site to see the details. The Local Education Authority in that area now want this program expanded to all 144 schools and Bill and the UIAUK are talking to a number of other Authorities also.
The bit I would ask you to think about is how you might help the UIAUK and in particular BITE.
To succeed, we will need some modest funding – trivial in the greater scheme of things – not to make a business of it, but simply for basic administration (it is, but we are not, a Charitable Organisation!). A Grant, donation, sponsorship etc of a small lump sum or tiny allowance will make an enormous difference to the potential outcome. Clearly, this is something BIS should be looking at, but in the current climate we’re not holding breath (unless you have an ‘in’ …….). And for the right corporation wishing to get grass roots exposure, it could make tremendous sense.
The UIAUK and Bite are going places and your help and support will assist us in doing so quicker and better.
Your time, thoughts and perhaps direct support are much appreciated.
Thank you
