Sony alleged that defendant manufactures products that infringe the claims as covered in the patented technology and cites RED ONE, EPIC and SCARLET cameras as infringing products. Sony wanted both money damages and an injunction to stop the continued sale of Red’s infringing products. This case was believed to be a counter attack by Sony to the case filed by RED against Sony on Feb 2013 (3:13-cv-00334), over 2 patents alleging infringement by Sony’s F65, F55 and F5 cameras (which is still pending).

The case concluded as the parties have filed joint motion for dismissal and upon consideration of the parties’  request, the Court granted joint motion and ordered dismissal without prejudice. Each party will bear their own costs and expenses.
