Syneron Sues EndyMed and Eclipse Aesthetics

On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Syneron (plaintiff) filed a complaint against EndyMed and Eclipse Aesthetics (defendants) for patent infringement in the U.S. District Court of Texas (case no. 3:12-cv-04087).

Syneron Medical is in the business of developing and manufacturing electronic devices and associated products for use in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures. EndyMed designs, develops, and commercializes energy based aesthetic treatment systems for the professional markets. Eclipse is a manufacturer and supplier of aesthetic medical products.

According the complaint, the defendant’s products with the 3DEEP technology and various handpieces used with those products that include a) EndyMed Pro System and Fractional Skin Resurfacing handpiece, and b) GLOW System and Fractional Skin Resurfacing handpiece infringe the above mentioned patents.
